About
Art has been a part of my life my entire life, and I want to share the joy and passion that creating art has given to me with others. I create art that reflects my values, my identities, and my communities.
Over the past few years, I have been slowly building up my personal art practice through creating projects with materials around me and by taking classes through the wonderful city of Chicago.
I originally moved to the city in 2011 when I came here to obtain my B.A. in Cultural Studies from Columbia College Chicago. Since graduating, I have worked in retail, admin, nonprofit communications, and, most currently, corporate UX/UI design. However, my true passion is in art education.
I am a current graduate student at DePaul University going through the Visual Art Education program in hopes of one day becoming an art educator. My goal is to work with young people to collaborate and create community-based projects that reflect the hopes, dreams, and realities of the people in our communities.
